Insulated Athletic Tops

These Insulated Athletic Tops can be made from brushed polyester-spandex fabric or thermal nylon-spandex fabric. The material weight ranges from 180 to 260 g/m², and both options can provide four-way stretch.

Brushed polyester-spandex is suitable for athletic products that require warmth, elasticity and practical daily care. Thermal nylon-spandex can be selected for collections that place more emphasis on a soft hand feel, close-to-body comfort and flexible movement.

The brushed inner surface creates a warmer feeling against the body while the elastic structure supports bending, arm movement, torso rotation and continuous exercise. This combination makes the product suitable for winter running, hiking, cycling, ski layering, outdoor training and cold-weather commuting.

The exact fabric and weight can be selected according to the intended activity, wearing temperature, fit and layering requirements. A lighter fabric can be used as a base layer, while a higher-weight material can provide more coverage as a fitted middle layer.

Available neckline options include crew neck, mock neck and half-zip. A crew-neck version is suitable as a simple thermal base layer under a sweatshirt, fleece jacket or outdoor shell.

A mock neck provides additional coverage around the neck and can be used for low-temperature outdoor activities. A half-zip design makes the garment easier to put on and allows the wearer to adjust the neckline opening according to activity intensity.

The product uses a fitted silhouette to reduce excess fabric under an outer jacket. This makes it suitable for use as either a base layer or a lightweight middle layer.

Garment length, sleeve length, chest measurements, neckline height and bottom-hem width can be adjusted during sample development. The fit should provide close coverage without limiting normal arm lifting, bending or turning.

Flatlock Construction and Sample Development

 

Flatlock seams can be selected to reduce noticeable seam thickness. This construction is useful for close-fitting garments and extended activity because it creates a flatter connection between fabric sections.

The factory has experience processing stretch, quick-drying, brushed and functional materials. Development can begin from drawings, reference garments or measurement charts.

Because four-way stretch fabric has clear extension directions, the fabric stretch, neckline, garment length, sleeve length, chest width and hem dimensions should be confirmed before production. Pattern makers and sample technicians adjust the paper pattern and sewing method according to the fabric recovery and brushed thickness.

A physical sample allows buyers to check the hand feel, brushed surface, fit and seams. Insulated Athletic Tops can also be reviewed while lifting the arms, bending and wearing an outer layer to confirm that the garment provides suitable movement and layering space.

Quality Inspection, Packing and Delivery

 

Quality control covers fabric checking, cutting, in-line inspection and full finished-garment inspection. Inspectors review the brushed surface, stretch direction, neckline construction, shoulder and sleeve seams, finished measurements and left-right symmetry.

For flatlock versions, the seams are checked for flatness and extension. The stitching should move with the fabric without restricting normal activity.

After inspection, the garments enter finishing, packing and shipment preparation. Merchandising staff can follow production progress and coordinate packing and delivery requirements.
